Northpark Mall
I just saw that there was a driveby shooting at Northpark yesterday (or maybe the day before). It used to be so nice and upscale and free of loiterers and now I feel like it's just going downhill. Why is this? I will tell you why. It's the movie theater. Once a mall ventures into the movie theater business they go to shit.

Macy's
Okay, I'm done complaining about Macy's for a while - but I am still boycotting them. They refunded Chris's money for the boots, but did not offer an apology. I figured we would at least get a 20% coupon or something? Oh well.
Funny Kitty
We just got a new camera which is the only reason we caught Henry and his shenanigans.
This was Henry chilling by the laptop before we left for the gym.
Oh, and notice the "as seen on TV" push up contraption box in the background? Those have been in the closet since Chris got them.....we're both suckers for 'as seen on TV' stuff.

Macy's Update
Just in case you were wondering the status of the Macy's Christmas boots debacle...here's the scoop. Since we had Monday off of work (love random banking holidays) and my husband no longer goes to work, we decided Macy's must be dealt with that very day. First, a phone call....nothing. Just voicemail. So Chris decides to drive to Macy's and take care of the boots issue and I chicken out, claiming I'm too busy working on our taxes (I don't like confrontations and didn't want any part of the wrath he was about to unleash on the store manager) and let him go up there by himself. Chris leaves and comes home about 30 minutes later.....fairly calm and says "no dice". WHAT????? How can you go up there in person with this obviously easy to fix issue (it's called a refund and a genuine I'm sorry for your trouble) and come home with no resolution? Well, he says they could only refund him the shipping because they couldn't verify that the boots had been returned. Weird, I thought that metal box at each check out was called a computer and contained all kinds of useful information on their inventory and customers. Hmmm. So, a few hours later he gets a call. It's MACY's!!!!!!! They actually called him back! And they verified the boots had indeed been returned like he's told them the last 85 times he's called. But, unfortunately, they need his physical card to process the refund. Also weird, because we own a business and we occasionally refund people's money and we don't require them to come see us in person to show us their credit card for a refund. Must be a Macy's thing (kind of like they are the only store on the planet that doesn't forward their bills to "please forward to" addresses customers have on file) - I guess it makes perfect sense. So, more on Friday....he is making another trip up there to get the refund.
By the way - this is a lot of trouble for a pair of boots I have never even seen. Still boycotting Macy's for now. More to come later.

I wish I had a picture of this lady
Yesterday, I made a pitstop at Starbuck's for my favorite drink (Grande Nonfat Light Whip Peppermint White Mocha - feel free to buy me one anytime) when I saw an absolute fashion disaster. A lady was sitting at a table with a gentleman in a suit - I think it may have been a casual meeting, perhaps an interview. The lady's back was to me and all I could see is a bow of some sort sticking up from her head. I knew it was wrong on all levels just from the sheer size of the bow but I couldn't really see it clearly. As I received my pepperminty heaven from the barista, the fashion disaster exited the building with me. I wish I had a picture. This lady actually left the house with a Coach scarf tied around her head (which would have been okay if the scarf was flat on top and hung down in the back - which is a cute look) and tied a GIANT bow on TOP of her head!! Like a 5 year old! And she had plaid shoes on....a whole separate story and insignificant in comparison to the bow disaster. I doubt she got that job....
